Most of the material for this blog comes from reader tips, news stories, and expert interviews for articles that are featured on our main site.
But, I also draw from related personal experiences including:

• a car accident (I was a passenger - we had a fender-bender on the Long Island Expressway in 100 degree heat!)

• travel (I’ve lived abroad in two different countries for a total of three years)

• purse/wallet theft (stolen while I was overseas!)
